40XX-L-3T DESCRIPTION
The PIC 40’ Lightweight Tri-axle Chassis (40XX-L-3T) is a lightweight, high-capacity triaxle gooseneck chassis designed to transport loaded 40-foot containers with greater efficiency. It supports a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 85,000 lbs., making it an ideal solution for over-the-road operations where every pound — and every mile — matters.
Its tri-axle configuration provides excellent weight distribution and enhanced stability, helping operators comply with axle weight regulations — especially in high restriction areas. The lightweight frame reduces tare weight, which increases payload potential and improves overall fuel economy.
Optional Roll Stability Support (RSS) adds an extra layer of safety by helping to prevent rollovers, protecting both cargo and driver. The gooseneck design ensures proper container clearance and balance, delivering dependable performance for a wide range of intermodal operations.
