2040-S-3A DESCRIPTION
The PIC 20’/40’ Combo Tri-axle Chassis (2040-S-3A) is a rugged, high-capacity tri-axle chassis designed for versatility, capable of carrying either a loaded 20-foot or 40-foot container, or two empty 20-foot containers. It supports a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 77,000 lbs. for 20′ containers and 85,000 lbs. for 40′ containers, making it ideal for heavier payloads in regions with strict weight regulations.
Equipped with an air-assisted slider pin system, the chassis allows for fast and easy length adjustments, reducing manual labor and boosting efficiency during container transitions.
Optional Roll Stability Support (RSS) enhances safety by reducing the risk of rollovers, protecting cargo and drivers. The gooseneck design ensures proper clearance and balance, delivering consistent performance for demanding intermodal operations.
